If I am the Mayor of This Beautiful City

Fooling around while walking to have lunch.

If I am the mayor of this city, I'll restore the buildings here at old KL area. I'll save it for local business owner to sell local products - be it local cafe, clothes, accesories, anything. As long as it spells Malaysia at heart.

You have no idea how beautiful this area was and still is ~

But because I am not, and we're a capitalist even if we deny it. Those buildings are now left ugly, foreigners make the upper floor cramped as their home and lower floor selling their things. I see less and less tourist around compared to few years ago.

Makes me sad.

Well. We can still hope. Hope for a change. Make a change.

Masterchef on Board

Masterchef much?

I just love the blackboard. Been wanting to buy this since forever but i have no idea where to find it.. Ermm well, my ignorance cause that, perhaps.

Found one at Positive Emporium, Publika last two weeks when we had our breakfast at The Red Beanbag (again).

I just love Positive Emporium. They have such a nice collections of positive and motivational posters. I want to have it all!

Anyway, few days after I hung the board ready to tackle the world (read:tiny kitchen) with my awesome cooking, we run out of water supply. Turns out, we are one of the household impacted by the water rationing. Pffftt

So my marinated venison is still frozen and the whole fridge smelling tempoyak due to my my patin tempoyak plan.

Cooking with no water supply? Naahhhh.

Let's eat out. Hehehhe.

The Therapy That I Need

Back when the days that I blogged a lot and religiously, I had *ehem* quite a number of visitors. So I would anxiously checking my Nuffnang account daily to see how much earning that I got so far. You know, to cash it out for a pair of shoe. So shallow, I know.

Well, that's history.

I don't really remember checking my Nuffnang account for years until recently when I started to blog again. To my surprise, my almost non-existence self in the blogosphere did still give a decent source of passive income.  So, I thought wow... if only put in a bittttt of my whatever left energy to blog all this years I was in silence... I would have quite a number of shoes by now.

But of course, that was just my wishful thinking. In between my day job, pursuing the professional qualification, being a wife and a mom, running the house, and socialise with my friends... I would be happy if I get the time to have a proper shower. I kid you not.

I won't lie to you. I am being completely honest when I told you that I love to write and share it with people. Even I know how useless this blog is compared to millions others and not to mention how bad my grammar is (ssshhhhesssss you grammar nazi). This blog is actually my place when I need to escape from my reality.

This is the place where I get to be a model, modelling for all the cheap clothes that I have when the actual fact, I am an accountant who work in front of a computer all day long trying to reconcile every single account that my company has.

This is the place where I get to pretend that I am that social butterfly who party until wee hours on every other week when in fact, it was just a planned meet up with my same circle of friends...just at a different place and at the different time (we still had so much fun tho).

This is the place where I put in all the nice things happened to me when I was actually crying my heart out because I just had a bad day. It is easier to be positive and to note on the great things that I have in my life and not to be upset on a small matter when I jot it down.

This is my therapy.

The therapy that I need.

So, what would you do when you need a therapy?

P/S: I just got a new CPUV (Cost Per Unique Visit Campaigns) today after almost a year not having any. Feels like the 1st time. :)

New arrangement.

Updating from the toilet. Seriously. I'm sad like that.

With no helper at home, no doubt our life was a bit upside down lately. It's not the amount of housework that we need to do, but the arrangements that now have changed since she left. Like previously, we would drop off our kids at my mum's and my dad will then send my eldest to her school. But now, since Imaan's nursery is nearby her sister's school and Imaan don't really fancy car seat.. So we have to send them off every morning and the traffic to their school.. OMG like crazzzzzy. We have to go out super early so that we will still arrive to our office on time.

Back from work, there's kid's homework, piles of unfold clothes, dinner making, attention seeker baby and lots of things in between waiting for me.

Not complaining tho. I feel that the life I have currently tho exhausting but more fullfiling not to mention give me less headache.  But of course, this blog (again) become my least priority at the moment.

I miss writing. I have tons of update for you guys seriously. I'll promise I'll come back ok?

Because life is like a rollercoster. You just have to buckle up and enjoy the ride. Tho at one point you feel like it's going to kill you, believe me it won't. :)

Relieved

Super busy.

Shall resume blogging once I settle down with our new arrangements and such.

Oh btw, our helper ran away. Pissed but relieved. Not really a fan of someone else (who's also really lazy) in my house. On the day itself I vowed not to take any foreign helper ever again. Such a headache to live with.

Till then.

The Conventional Meet Up

I am in love with my phone, since iPhone made a debut in my life 4 years ago.

I'm gonna admit here, though it's tough that I am too, like you, attached with my phone.

Sometime I got carried away that I forgot to engage in the real conversation happening around me. Like talking to my husband on dinner table. hehehe.

So, the other day my dear husband went for an annual meet up with his friends and told me not to call or text him unless emergency. I was like... OK boss whatever makes you happy. I know that they always had this rule that whoever pick up the phone needs to pay the bill. Haha.

What they did this time was, putting all their phones at the centre of the table. Means no phone is allowed even for a quick peek at FB, instagram or even emails.

I think that is a good idea. A very good idea.

So my husband implement the rule on me each time we dine out together.

Guess who had to pay the bill? (T_T)

Getting Old : Numeric Padlock m

Part of my #ubah2014 resolution is to move my ass to the gym at least thrice a week. It's a good resolution in theory but reality is, I've been to the gym for the third time today since Jan 1, 2014.

Fail.

So, determined, I packed by bag the night before and promise myself to stay awake and actually go to the gym early in the morning. Waking up is not an issue since Imaan wake up as early as 5am every morning (well come to think about it, Imaan actually wake up every couple of hours sometimes every hour so I actually became a zombie months ago)

And today, 20th of January, I did it.

*******

The gym require the members to bring their own padlock for the locker but I forgot to bring mine. Desperate, I borrowed my husband's padlock which is the numeric combination padlock. There's only 5 digits to memorise so I confidently thought that I won't forget the combination. How hard can it be? There's only like 10 numbers all together and none will be repeated.

So I locked the locker, worked my ass out, came back for a shower... still remember the password. Easy peasy!

Not until I finished showering with only a towel, phone and everything inside the locker that I suddenly had a mental blocked.

Gasp.

I.can't.remember.the.combination.

I can't recall at all! There I was, few minutes ago easily unlocked the padlock and now I can't even remember a thing.

*******

I was thisssss close to burst into tears. Drama. It's early in the morning not a lot of people is crazy enough to go to the gym that early. There was like 2 or 3 people in the changing room but all of them were happily singing in the shower. I'm late to dress up for work and panicked a bit, worrying if people might think I'm trying to steal someone's belonging (which truthfully looks like it)

Lucky there's a tai-tai just came for a work out and I was literally running towards her to lend her phone. She was kind enough to let me use her phone but my husband didn't pick up! Panic again and embarrassed (who forgot their own combination, btw?) the tai-tai now volunteering to go out and shout for my husband name see if we get lucky, and we were.

Cut it short, I was then able to get dressed and go to the office after like a lifetime in prison.

Thanks God for sending that tai-tai to me.

Special Date

I was 31 years old on 8th January this year.

Oh boy, I felt old. I was 24 or 25 when I first start writing. Haha.

Even I feel old, do you know people claim that women are most attractive in their early 30's? Looking at this picture, do u think so?

Bahahahahhahaha!

I think people say that because mostly, by this age most women already found their style and they wear it with grace. Also, most already stable financially and they can afford to be spend a bit more on style.

Furthermore, I think we are most attractive at this age because we are no longer afraid of people's opinion on us like we used to during our twenties, we don't feel the need to follow the trend just to feel accepted and mostly, we are smart enough to act and react only to the things matter to us and to laugh and appreciate every moment be it a  challengeor blessing that coming towards us.

For more years to come (insya allah).

Happy 31st birthday to me.

Tired

I salute you mothers who work and come home with fat paycheck, take care of the house as well without any helpers. The house is shining clean, the hubs and kids blessed with home cook foods, and you yourself looks like a million dollar.

That kind of women exist you know. Crazy.

I feel tired all the time. Okey before you start selling me all those protein shake or whatever product that you say can boost up energy level, just stop it because here I am talking about mentally tired.

I mean of course you still have leftover energy after you come home from work at 8. Sure you can quickly whip a meal for your family, then do the laundry while helping your kids do their homework and then vacuum and mopped clean the house while singing but hey, don't you feel you just wanna go straight to bed?

I need motivation to be that kind of women.

*rumahbersepahtakdesapenakkemas*

hmmmppfftt.

Fast Forward 4 Years Later

Below is the extraction of my blog post 4 years ago. When I was actively blogging and being so open pouring whatever it was in my heart.

I dedicate this post to the people who are feeling exactly like me 4 years ago. I was feeling kind of lost then. Depressed. Like a loser. But time do change things, you know? If you are willing to change too.

Out of everything that I said 4 years ago, I've accomplished most of it. Of course I am not as rich as Donald Trump (just yet). But most importantly, I have goals and I know I am on track in achieving my goals. This time, not all for money.

And most importantly, I feel content.

I am thankful to my young self for being strong and deciding to go on with the life changing decision then. I know it was hard, I walked the path. I am hoping my 30 years old self now keep being strong & focus while staying humbling close to the ground so that my 35 years old self will be proud of me, someday.

P/S: Excuse my 26 years old "beautiful" language. I curse a lot those days. Hehe.

***********
My feelings & self-esteem have never been this bad in my whole life.
It's life threatening. Highly dangerous.

The odd thing is I am actually happy with myself.
But I feel down and sad at the same time.
Insanity.

And I know exactly what is going on with me.

I need my retail therapy but I should put that on hold at this moment.
I need to build my asset. huargghrrgetfjshygdbvdfd.

On a related matter, I remember a conversation with En suami few weeks back.
I told him that I need to build my own assets,
so that I will be okey if someday he decided to leave me.
Or maybe dia ada simpan anak ikan kerana masa itu kami adalah kaya raya tahap Donald Trump.

I need to bulid my assets sebab sekarang janda kaya adalah sangat laku dan boleh mendapat pakwe muda. hoho
Gurau ok. Gurau.

We decided to build our assets and our assets are my assets and my assets are my assets.
Kan yang kan???

And do you know how hard it is to build an asset.
And how cynical others could be?
And how heartbreaking it is not able to spend your dime on your favourite thing when you actually afford it after working so fucking hard to earn the money.
And how sick it feels to look at other person who can shop and own all the things that you wish you have?
memang patah semangat kadang-kadang.

And yes, I have stop reading the shop and show blog because it makes me sick each time. Jelousy. I want one too!!!!
I also stop reading fashion magazine because it makes me feel ugly and fat.
I stop looking at others designer handbag because not owning one nearly makes me cry.
pathetic? yes.
I stop reading supermom's blogs because it makes me feel like I am a lousy mother who did not breastfeed and now my daughter is falling sick at least once a month. I feel terrible!
and i can only cook 1 same dish for my baby because my time is limited and i am so tired juggling between classes, work, asset building, house chores and etc.

I have decided to fuck them all.

But ada satu benda yang until now I torture myself into.
Setiap kali buat hati bertambah sakit tapi masih juga menjenguk.
Sebab bagi saya dia ada apa yang saya tiada dan even though bernanah hati masih juga bertahan.
I motivate myself by torturing myself.
Irony but true.

Alhamdulillah for all the rezeki. I know now, rezeki is not only in term of money.

Small Project : Kevin Zahri's Jom Kurus Seminar

So, my friend whatsapp me earlier today mentioning about a little project hosted by Puanbee especially for bloggers to join Kevin Zahri's Health Talk at Prince Court Medical Centre this 8th of July.

http://kevinzahri.com/shop/product_images/p/250_jom_kurus__54030.png

Being a good friend (like I always do) to Nadot, my morbidly obese friend (self-proclaimed okey? LOL), i decided to participate in this special project so that I can go together with her and at the same time support her. (mana tau tiba-tiba dia terbuka hati nak kurus lepas dengar talk from Kevin Zahri yg hotness tu). And also because I am recently trying to lose weight in a healthy way, i think Kevin is the right person to guide me how to.

Anyway, I was 10kg above my ideal weight last year and I don't really mind about it until one day I have no more pants to wear and the only place that I went shopping were Dorothy Perkins and some other European brand (because they cater big sizes) which as you know it, crazy expensive! And everything that I put in does not look good! So, I decided (really this time) to put down some weight but of course in a healthy way, starting with eating habit.

See, I think the main reason most Malaysian are overweight are because of our eating habits. And with all the good foods that we have, who can resist right? Nasi lemak for breakfast, nasi campur for lunch and dinner, teh tarik and roti canai for supper. Open houses and kenduri-s on weekends, not to mention pisang goreng for tea time.. super sinfully delicious! Not that we cannot eat all that, but sometimes we tend to over eat it. Don't you agree? Well, at least I do.

That is why it is so important to me to be in the seminar.. (hopefully get chosen. Hehe) Maybe I can share it here later. For those who would like to join this talk, you may click here for more details on how to participate for free!

Okey, gotta go. Have to run (literally) already late for work. Chow!

Hello

My friend ask me to update.

So, hello!

With all the technology around me, it's a big lie if I say I didn't update much often is because I am busy, or I got nothing interesting to share.
Truth is, I just don't feel like writing. I would like to keep this blog alive just as much as you do, believe me. But.. Let see la ye?

P/S: My daughter turns 4 next week. How time flies huh? I started blogging long before I got pregnant or even married!

The lucky part of being unlucky

So, I was admitted (again) to DHS last Tuesday but discharged now with a big hole underneath my left armpit. Goodbye to sleeveless. God loves me so much, he constantly scarred my body so I will dress appropriately.

This was before the surgery.

Anyway, the doctor gave me a week to rest but dear God I barely even sit let alone resting at my home because......my sister's handbag was snatched by a motorcyclist theft the day I was discharged from the hospital! She was on the way back after visiting me and was stopping for red light when suddenly a motorcyclist crashed her window and took her bag away!

She is fine btw. Just a bit depressed because she lost her Coach Sabrina Bag, her iPhone complete with charger and her RM1000 worth of make ups.

Well, guess who's gotta teman her here and there to replace her IC and etc?

Yes, she don't care that I have to rest. She blame me because she got snatched AFTER visiting me. (T_T)
But hey, I am a super nice sister plus I am NOT capable of sitting in the house and doing nothing.

So guess what is the 1st thing she did after replacing all her important documents?

She is one happy lady now. Forgot about her loss already.
Really, if i were to lose my handbag, I will be devastated if I lost my iPhone too. I mean come on.. we would drive all the way back home if we accidentally left our iPhone at home aren't we?

But, she was not the only one who was on cloud 9 the other day.

The Wall of Frames

Ever since we moved to our current house, I've been wanting to do a wall of frames along our hallway. The idea is to hang as much multi-colored and multi-sizes of frames as it can be. But after one year, our wall still empty the idea remains as idea. (T_T)

My number one problem is of course too lazy to pick and edit pictures. The bad side of having a digital camera . Thousand of photo for each event we went. Editing is one more thing. Lazy! But not urban la if don't edit kan? LOL. Okey not funny.

Anyway, few weeks back we bought a new sofa to replace our current one that is so ugly and uncomfortable. We bought it few years back when money was really tight then. Alhamdulillah, now got extra rezeki, we can finally change it to the new one.

So with the new sofa, I got exited all over again to proceed with the Wall of Frames idea. So far, I have selected and edited 50 pictures and counting (yeay!) and now in the process to print and finally hang them all. Let's hope that by next week the wall is full and beautiful. Might share with you guys later IF the plan is a success. Haha. Kalau buruk diam-diam sudah. For the mean time, this is a few that I picked. I personally love them so much! Never thought that the simple and stupid picture can be such personal. :)

Rania = shrek.

OMG loveeee this.

My beautiful daughter. Can be such a heart breaker in the future don't you think?

Okey, I want to hang this picture until she's 25! Haha

OMG, I just realised that I am the one who took all the photo. I can be a nice photographer, no?

Sleep Mode

I would love to write again.

No bullshit.

The truth is, I used to write when I was in the office. There and then was the perfect place and time when I have tons of idea what to write. Didn't have that privilege anymore tho. Current job require full concentration (and limited access to the internet.) (T_T)

Lets not whine about that shall we?

Anyway, it was 5 minutes passed 1 am and I am so sleepy. I slept for 2 hours only yesterday and been working till 9pm, home only at 11pm took a shower, nap a bit and here I am explaining myself to you guys why I am still up at this hour. pfft. Is this the life you really looking forward to read about? i doubt it.

I shall sleep now. I am starting to write crap (T_T).

Good night world. It's good to know you still remember me. :)

Italian Anyone?

Italiannies, One Utama. Feb 27,2011

I am starting to fall in love with the new hijab style I am wearing. I hope that this love will eventually help me to be full time hijabi, Insya Allah.

Although at some angle I really look like an Indonesian (thanks to my big fat face) but don't care lah. Husband said I am pretty so Indon or no Indon, I am cool with that. (^_^)

Anyway, this was taken when we were having our lunch at Italiannies earlier.

Complimentary bread. This is the one that I heart the most every time. EVERY TIME! and it's FREE.

This time we opt for their Classic 2 course meal since the husband is not feeling very well and their portion is quite generous. Then we add another ala-carte kids meal for Rania. Just nice for the 3 of us. :)

Appetizer : Toasted Bruschetta

This appetizer is the ultimate winner if you ask me. Never fail me. Not even once. No matter which outlet we went, the tomatoes they used are  really really fresh, marinated perfectly and the Pesto sauce is TDF definitely.

Main Course: Fettuccine Amatriciana

This is the 1st time I tasted this. When it comes to pasta, I am really old-fashioned one. I only dare to eat bolognise, carbonara, and olio oglio, but I am so tempted to try other pasta ever since I watched Julia Roberts eats her pasta in Eat, Pray, Love. Well this is the 1st step of many many more to come!

Close up. We put grated parmesan on top. OMG it was so goooooodddddd! Tomatoes is still the base. Not far off than bolognise. :)

This is kiddy meal. Fried chicken with Pomodoro Sauce.

I am crazy over pineapple juice so this Yellow Birdie is my choice every time.

We went for shopping after that. Nothing new about that though. But silly me bought a top ( I really want that top since forever!) and 2 scarves only to find out that I have no scarf to go with the new top and no tops to go with the new scarves. Good news is now I have reason to go shopping again but bad new is I can't wear that top yet. :(

*******

On a different matter, we went to our dear friend's birthday party on Saturday at Octavia, Sri Hartamas. Such an awesome place for party. The place has a BIG ASS KING SIZE BED AT THE LIVING ROOM PEOPLE! Theme for the day is Morroccan but me didn't 100% comply with the theme. But at least I wore the right color!

My point is I LOVE MY SCARF! So i want to show off to the whole world. Haha.

Kbye!

P/S: This is such a lengthy post to make up with my silence last week. forgive me okey. :)
